Fly Free

Fly Free

“Fly Free” was born from the grief of losing my grandmother, but more than that—it’s a tribute to her love, strength, and the way she always believed in me. It’s my way of saying goodbye, while keeping her spirit alive through music.

Working on: I’m Okay Without You

I’m Okay Without You is a smooth, soul-soaked jazz anthem about rediscovering joy after heartbreak. Set against a backdrop of swinging rhythms and midnight melodies, the song captures the spirit of moving on with confidence and grace. With clever wordplay and a touch of sass, Nova reflects on love lost—not with sorrow, but with style. It’s the soundtrack for anyone who’s ever twirled through tough times and come out shining brighter on the other side. From smoky lounges to rainy sidewalks, this is self-love in a song… with a cocktail in hand and no blues in sight.

Working on “Fly Free” – A Song for My Grandmother

Creating Fly Free has been one of the most emotional and meaningful projects I’ve ever worked on. This song is dedicated to my grandmother, who recently passed away. She was a strong, loving presence in my life—even though we didn’t always see eye to eye, there was always love between us.

As I wrote the lyrics and built the melody, I kept thinking about all the moments we shared—the way she’d guide me, challenge me, and ultimately help shape the person I am today. This song is my way of saying goodbye, of honoring her memory, and of letting her spirit fly free—just like I know she would’ve wanted.

Every note, every word in this track carries a piece of my heart, and I hope when others hear it, they feel that love too.
